Not all products, services or publications can be purchased on-line. When the on-line ordering is not available, the product or service can be purchased via paper form and fax/post. Please consult the related product or service page to find out the ordering procedures for a specific product or service.
Cardio Debate reserves the right to change or remove particular ordering methods without prior notice. Changes in the ordering procedure will be posted on the product or service page. Products & Services are available for order whilst they are posted on the Cardio Debate Web Site and/or during the ordering period specified.
On-line Sales Conditions
Product & Service Pricing Policy
Products and services sold on-line, via ‘My Cardio Debate’, may be purchased in GBP (3) or Euros only. Except where otherwise mentioned, the price displayed for each product or service is inclusive of tax (VAT included).
For a specific product, several different pricing may apply depending upon various components such as the date of purchase (e.g. early fees for congress registration).
Cardio Debate reserves the right to modify its product & service pricing at any time, although products/services will be billed according to the price applicable when the order was submitted by the purchaser.
When applicable and unless specified otherwise, shipping costs are not included in the product price.
Product & Service Characteristics
Cardio Debate attempts to be as accurate as possible in the description of product and/or services characteristics available on the Cardio Debate Web Site. However, Cardio Debate does not warrant that on-line descriptions are error-free and/or 100% accurate. Cardio Debate is not contractually bound by these descriptions. Any decision taken by the purchaser, based on product/service characteristics, is the purchaser’s sole responsibility. Ordering Process – General Rules
Language
The Vantage Point Medical and Cardio Debate ordering process is in English which is the official communication language of the Cardio Debate web site.
Ordering Process
- The purchaser logs in to ‘My Cardio Debate’. To order on-line Cardio Debate products or services, the purchaser is required to have an active ‘My Cardio Debate’ account and to log in.
- Once logged in, the purchaser chooses the product or service to order and follows the ordering steps
- The first step is the selection of the various elements of the product/service offer. The total price is then calculated based on the selections and is in euros only.
- The second step is the review and acceptance of the order by the purchaser (pricing, delivery and invoicing addresses, acceptance of the General Terms & Conditions…). At this stage, most of the order elements are still changeable. Without acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions and, if applicable, of the Rules & Regulations, the purchaser cannot proceed to the final step.
- The final step is the capture in secured mode of the payment details. By providing his/her payment details and submitting the order at the end of this step, the purchaser gives authorisation to process the order.
- Upon submission of the order, an order number is automatically attributed to the current order. At this stage, the order is no longer modifiable nor cancellable on-line by the purchaser. For any subsequent changes to the order the purchaser needs to contact the Cardio Debate directly. Specific terms may apply depending upon the product/service. These are outlined in the Rules and Regulation specific to the product/service.
Upon completion and submission of the order, an email is sent to the purchaser with the following information:

- Product/service main characteristics
- Total Pricing
- Customer service contact details
- Details of how to access the order via ‘My Cardio Debate’
This acknowledgement is not an acknowledgement of order. It simply confirms that the Cardio Debate has received the order and will process in a timely manner, based on the information provided by the purchaser at the time of the order.
Should there be any differences between the order placed on-line and the information contained in this acknowledgement, please inform the Cardio Debate immediately by filling in the Contact Us form. The product/service and the Order Number should be quoted in the request.
Acknowledgement of Order
- Upon validation of the order by Cardio Debate, an Order Confirmation is sent by email to the purchaser to confirm that the order and payment have been processed by the Cardio Debate.
- The confirmation provides the following information:

- Order Number
- Product/service main characteristics
- Order details and totals
- Total paid
- Cancellation Conditions
- Hyperlink to the Terms & Conditions

- The confirmation may include any changes which may have occurred due to non-availability of the original products/services selected or due to other factors.
Payment
- On-line orders are payable via Credit Cards (AMEX, Visa, EuroCard/Master Card) and in GBP and Euros only.
Invoice
- An invoice is not automatically sent to the purchaser.
- The purchaser can request an invoice when submitting his/her order on-line or by filling in the Contact Us form.
Order Cancellation
- Withdrawal
The purchaser has a 7-working-day withdrawal period from the date of receipt of the Acknowledgement of Order for events (congresses, meetings, training.) or from the date of receipt of the product(s).
The withdrawal period is not applicable for orders concerning an event which commences prior to the end of the withdrawal period and is also not applicable for certain specific products (as defined by the French consumer code).
The product/service will be refunded, excluding the costs of its return if applicable, if the request for withdrawal is sent to the Cardio Debate prior to the end date of the withdrawal period. To withdraw your order, please fill in the Contact Us form.
- Cancellation
The terms below apply to any cancellation occurring after the legal withdrawal period.
For products/services – such as, but not limited to, congresses and meetings – specific cancellation conditions apply. The Rules & Regulations for these product/services include the cancellation conditions.
For all other products/services, no additional cancellation policy applies apart from the legal withdrawal as described above.
Acceptance of the On-line Sales Conditions
By ordering products and/or services on the Cardio Debate Web Site, you agree to these General On-line Sales Conditions and any specific terms (‘Rules & Regulations’) that may complement these conditions. Prior to submitting your order online, please read these conditions carefully as well as the Rules & Regulations posted at the service or product ordering page.
The information stored by Cardio Debate will stand as proof of all the transactions and financial operations related to the order.
Unavailability/ Force Majeure
In the event of industrial disruption or other unforeseen circumstances, Vantage Point Medical / Cardio Debate accept no responsibility for loss of moneys incurred by the purchaser and/or by the recipient of the product/service bought. Cardio Debate disclaims all responsibilities for the unavailability of the Cardio Debate Web Site due to unexpected conditions.
Arbitration Clause
